RST – the future of film production
Rope Stretch Technology (RST) was launched at ArabPlast in January 2019 in Dubai, where it generated great interest among the specialists in attendance.
RST opens up an entirely new dimension in the production of biaxially stretched plastic film: “It increases both production speed and energy efficiency enormously. The new system significantly reduces maintenance and servicing costs on the one hand, while considerably lengthening machine service life on the other”, explains Wolfgang Pinegger, the inventor of Rope Stretch Technology, whose Globra Group holds the corresponding patents.
“This intelligent, future-oriented solution allows us to offer a clear alternative to existing chain track systems, and the reactions of the leading film manufacturers who visited us showed that we are on the right track”, said a delighted Philipp Kreuzer from K industries after the trade expo. Globra Group, based in Dubai, and K industries GmbH are project partners, which gives K industries the exclusive global manufacturing licence. The Vienna University of Technology also made a major contribution to the development of RST.
