About the K industries - Group
The K industries – Group consists of family-owned, consolidated companies including K industries GmbH headquartered in Carinthia, K industries ALTHAMMER GmbH in Heidenheim (Baden-Württemberg) as well as K industries Steel&Engineering GmbH in Frankenthal (Rhineland-Palatinate).
The K industries Group is active in the area of classic industrial plant construction as well as industrial service and offers engineering, production and assembly all from a single source. The four companies currently employ a total of about 350 people.
The Group’s moment of inception was the summer of 2016: Franz Kreuzer and his sons Martin and Philipp as co-partners, founded K industries GmbH with headquarters in St. Andrä in Carinthia’s Lavanttal region. The story at this location, however, dates back to 1986 when Franz Kreuzer began his entrepreneurial career in plant construction with KRESTA Anlagenbau.
Over the course of the ensuing decades, he formed an international group of companies with more than 1,000 employees at 40 locations. A dramatic payment default in connection with two large-scale projects in South America forced KRESTA Anlagenbau into insolvency in July 2016.
The new beginning, however, has been marked by successful development with balanced growth that continues to this day. Two expansion steps in 2017 gave rise to the K industries Group with its currently three companies. The K industries ALTHAMMER GmbH in Heidenheim resulted from the acquisition of partial business areas of the Althammer GmbH & Co.KG with its rich tradition.
In August 2017, K industries Steel&Engineering GmbH was added, which is now domiciled in Frankenthal. Under its previous name of KWE Ludwigshafen Stahl- und Industriebau GmbH, the company had already earned an outstanding reputation over the course of several decades in the area of industrial service.
The interaction between the three sister companies, K industries, K industries – ALTHAMMER, K industries Steel&Engineering and K industries Service&Technologies GmbH, provides customers with a compact range of offerings. This includes engineering, production, installation, insulation, tank and apparatus construction, pipeline construction, welding and steel construction, mechanical and aggregate construction, environmental engineering and industrial service.
Many of our customers are global players and market leaders in their respective industry sectors. The operations of the K industries Group span industry sectors including the petrochemical and chemical industries, the field of renewable energies, power plant construction, the timber and paper industries, as well as the field of environmental engineering and the automotive industry.
